Yes. We welcome you to be present during the entire visit.
Dr. Segal will review any particular concerns you may have about your child’s teeth. Taking your child’s age and previous dental experience into consideration, he will carefully explain all procedures to your child to be sure your child is comfortable with his/her first visit. Dr. Segal will then examine your child’s teeth and discuss with you any additional preventative procedures or treatment that might be indicated. Please call us with any questions you may have about your child’s first visit. Our goal is to make each visit as pleasant as possible for you and your child.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics® recommend the first dental visit at age 1, when the first teeth appear. However, we are happy to see new pediatric dental patients at any age.
